Role Overview

Ark Capital is seeking a commercially driven Private Credit Origination Manager to source and develop high-value debt financing opportunities for established businesses.


The successful candidate will identify companies generating more than ₦1 billion in annual revenue that require expansion capital, working capital, trade finance, asset finance, or transaction-specific funding. They will work with Ark Capital’s internal team and financing partners to progress qualified opportunities from origination through assessment and closing.


Key Responsibilities

  • Source high-value debt financing opportunities across sectors including trade, oil and gas, publishing, manufacturing, logistics, and other established industries.
  • Identify businesses generating more than ₦1 billion in annual revenue with credible and clearly defined funding requirements.
  • Build relationships with business owners, CEOs, CFOs, financial advisers, brokers, and other industry stakeholders.
  • Obtain preliminary transaction information, including financial statements, bank statements, contracts, purchase orders, invoices, and collateral details.
  • Work with Ark Capital’s internal team and financing partners to evaluate, structure, and progress qualified transactions.
  • Maintain an active pipeline and consistently follow up with prospective clients throughout the transaction process.
  • Originate a minimum of four qualified high-value financing opportunities each month.

Requirements

  • Experience in commercial banking, private credit, corporate finance, investment banking, business development, or financial services.
  • Strong network of established businesses and access to senior decision-makers.
  • Proven ability to originate and progress high-value financing transactions.
  • Good understanding of working capital, trade finance, asset finance, and structured debt.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, relationship-management, and commercial assessment skills.
  • Highly proactive, credible, target-driven, and comfortable engaging senior executives.
  • Ability to work independently and deliver consistently under pressure.
