Role Description The Marketing Officer is a full-time, on-site position based in Lagos. This role is responsible for planning and executing marketing campaigns that promote the bank’s products and services, increase brand awareness, and drive customer acquisition and retention. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, developing marketing plans, managing social media and digital channels, and supporting sales initiatives with targeted marketing materials. The Marketing Officer will collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging, analyze campaign performance, and recommend improvements based on data insights. This role also involves engaging with customers and communities to strengthen the bank’s presence and support financial inclusion initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Strong market research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify customer trends.
  • Proficiency in core marketing activities, including campaign planning, branding, and product promotion.
  • Excellent communication skills for creating clear messaging and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in social media marketing, including content creation, community engagement, and performance tracking.
  • Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to align marketing efforts with sales goals and support lead generation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Familiarity with financial services or microfinance is an advantage, along with an interest in financial inclusion.
  • Ability to work on-site in Lagos, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
