We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Store & Logistics Officer to manage storekeeping, inventory control, and logistics operations at our power plant site in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
The role is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of spare parts, tools, and materials required for plant operations while maintaining accurate inventory records and coordinating logistics activities to support maintenance schedules and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will play a key role in optimizing warehouse processes, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Main Responsibilities
- Handle all plant-related storekeeping and logistics activities.
- Liaise with the PCM and logistics team on spare parts ordering, shipments, and accurate deliveries to site to meet maintenance schedule requirements.
- Receive incoming goods and verify quantities, quality, and documentation against purchase orders and invoices.
- Accurately sort, label, and store goods while optimizing warehouse space utilization.
- Pick, issue, and deliver goods according to established logistics processes.
- Maintain logistics and inventory data in relevant systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date stock records.
- Retrieve and provide inventory-related information such as stock transfers, inventory levels, and delivery schedules.
- Perform routine administrative activities, including updating stock records and completing receipt, transfer, delivery, and dispatch documentation.
- Plan and schedule logistics movements for the plant as directed by the Plant Manager.
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives related to quality, safety, delivery, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain the store or warehouse in accordance with 5S principles and company safety standards.
- Coach and support colleagues in daily storekeeping and logistics activities.
- Maintain adequate inventory and records of all tools on site.
- Ensure tools are properly maintained and readily available for operational use.
- Monitor tool calibration schedules and maintain accurate calibration records.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate activities, resolve issues, and improve processes.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Plant Manager.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in storekeeping, warehouse operations, inventory management, or logistics within a power plant, industrial, manufacturing, or heavy industry environment.
- Experience working with inventory management systems, ERP platforms, or warehouse management tools is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics processes.
- Familiarity with spare parts management and stock optimization practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, and inventory management systems.
- Strong planning, organizational, and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to analyze inventory data and prepare accurate reports.
- Good understanding of workplace safety requirements and 5S principles.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- High level of integrity, accountability, and commitment to operational excellence.
- Pack, label, and dispatch outgoing goods with all relevant documentation.
