We are seeking a proactive and experienced Maintenance Supervisor – Mechanical to lead and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities at our power plant in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria.
The role is responsible for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations through effective maintenance planning, troubleshooting, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at maximizing equipment availability and performance.

Main Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily mechanical maintenance activities to achieve operational and contractual targets.
- Ensure safe work practices and compliance with company procedures and HSE standards.
- Maximize plant availability, reliability, and performance of gas engines.
- Manage preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Ensure timely completion of major overhauls with high-quality execution.
- Support plant operations, shutdowns, start-ups, and operational troubleshooting.
- Maintain maintenance records, reports, and safety documentation.
- Ensure availability of required tools, spare parts, and resources.
- Apply troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques to resolve plant issues.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Coach and develop team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Eng. or B.Tech.).
- 5–8 years of relevant experience in Gas or HFO Engine Power Plants.
- Experience in Turbocharger maintenance is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of WECS and UNIC tuning, engine performance optimization, and RCA methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance of gas engines and auxiliary equipment.
- Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance planning.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of HSE standards and permit-to-work systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Proficiency in CMMS/maintenance systems and MS Office.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
