Retail General Manager

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Our client is one of Nigeria's growing beauty retailers, serving both retail and wholesale customers through their physical store and online channels.

We are looking for an experienced, proactive, and highly organized General Manager to oversee the daily operations of the business and lead their team through the next phase of growth.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building systems, improving operations, developing people, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences both online and in-store.

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the business.
• Supervise store, customer care, warehouse, and administrative teams.
• Ensure excellent customer experience across WhatsApp, Instagram, website, and physical store.
• Improve operational efficiency and implement scalable processes.
• Monitor inventory, stock movement, and stock accuracy.
• Work closely with management to achieve sales and business goals.
• Track KPIs and prepare operational reports.
• Ensure SOPs are followed across every department.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate team members.
• Coordinate with marketing, logistics, finance, and customer support.
• Resolve customer escalations professionally.
• Drive continuous improvement across the business.
  

• Minimum 3 years' experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, Store Manager, or similar leadership role.
• Experience managing retail businesses is required.
• Experience managing both physical store operations and online sales is highly preferred.
• Beauty, cosmetics, skincare, fashion, pharmacy, or FMCG experience is an advantage.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience using inventory or retail management systems.
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
