Key Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute civil engineering projects within the plant and estate.
- Supervise civil and structural works, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and HSE standards.
- Monitor site activities and provide technical guidance to contractors and project teams.
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction methodologies.
- Conduct routine site inspections to ensure quality control, safety compliance, and adherence to project timelines.
- Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, and project schedules.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely and quality delivery of projects.
- Oversee the maintenance and integrity of civil infrastructure, including roads, drainage systems, buildings, and foundations.
- Prepare and submit progress reports, site documentation, and project updates.
- Identify project risks, implement mitigation measures, and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all engineering activities.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as Legal, Procurement, and Human resources to ensure seamless execution of projects.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, preferably within an industrial environment.
- Certification: COREN or NSE registration is an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of civil design, construction standards, and project execution principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant engineering software.
- Good understanding of HSE practices and quality standards in construction.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
