Job Summary: We are seeking a diligent Farm Attendant to support daily farm operations, including crop cultivation, livestock care, and equipment maintenance. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in farming activities and a commitment to agricultural best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Crop Cultivation:

Assist with planting, weeding, thinning, pruning, and harvesting crops.
Apply fertilizers and pesticides as directed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Maintain irrigation systems and monitor soil moisture levels.

Livestock Care:

Feed and water animals according to established schedules.
Monitor animal health, noting any signs of illness or injury, and report to supervisors.
Clean and maintain animal housing areas to ensure sanitary conditions.

Equipment Maintenance:

Operate and perform routine maintenance on farm machinery and tools.
Assist in repairing fences, barns, and other farm structures as needed.

General Farm Duties:

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the farm premises.
Assist with loading and unloading farm produce and supplies.
Keep accurate records of daily activities, including crop yields and livestock health.

Qualifications And Skills

Green Living & Environmental Issues

Previous experience in farm work or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of farm equipment operation and maintenance.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in various weather conditions.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.
Effective communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and kneeling.
Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
