Legal Officer
Support the legal and compliance function at Sohcahtoa Holdings, providing legal advice, contract management, and regulatory guidance across business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the group-wide HR strategy in alignment with overall business objectives and long-term growth plans.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on HR matters, organizational design, workforce planning, and talent strategy.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes for senior, leadership, and critical roles across the group.
- Design and implement group-wide talent management frameworks, including succession planning, career pathing, and leadership development.
- Design, implement, and manage performance management systems that drive accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and oversee competitive and compliant compensation and benefits structures aligned with market benchmarks.
- Identify group-wide learning and development needs and implement training programs that build capability and support career growth.
- Champion a positive, inclusive, ethical, and values-driven workplace culture across all group entities.
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from an accredited institution. Call to the Nigerian Bar is mandatory.
- Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) is required. Additional certifications in corporate law, compliance, or related areas are an added advantage.
- Legal Drafting & Review: Strong competence in drafting and reviewing legal documents with high attention to detail.
- Legal Research & Analysis: Proficiency in legal research and analytical reasoning using multiple legal resources.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication for clear, concise, and effective legal advice.
