Director of Learning Strategy, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) - $400,000/year USD
Crossover
Remote
2 Hour Learning has developed a model enabling students to learn at twice the conventional rate within just two hours daily. This performance stems from AI-driven tutoring, mastery-based advancement, and structural departures from traditional classroom design. Results have been remarkable. We now require a leader capable of harmonizing execution across varied school frameworks, elevating academic leadership standards, and serving as the authoritative public voice for a movement rooted in robust learning science.
This position is not theoretical. It carries a leadership imperative. You will command the academic strategy in operational terms, establish rigorous standards, diagnose execution shortfalls, and develop elite teams to achieve tangible results. Your role includes converting our scientific foundation into operational excellence and advocating this model to external audiences worldwide.
What You Will Be Doing
- Designing academic frameworks that convert learning science principles into actionable guidance for curriculum development, motivational architecture, and application design.
- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to verify alignment, accountability, and outcome delivery across school teams.
- Integrating data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify high-impact barriers to accelerated learning and recommend concrete interventions.
- Ensuring strategic coherence through structured planning, continuous feedback mechanisms, and milestone monitoring to sustain focus on student learning objectives.
- Serving as 2 Hour Learning's principal representative at senior forums, including keynote presentations and discussions with national education authorities, to advance systemic transformation in global educational thinking.
- Engaging in isolated curriculum initiatives that fail to produce systemic impact.
- Producing theoretical research disconnected from measurable student outcomes or operational execution.
- Transferring accountability for performance to mid-level managers or external consultants.
- Depending on institutional prestige or conceptual arguments to influence critical stakeholders.
Expand and strengthen 2 Hour Learning's validated academic model by standardizing execution across multiple schools, raising leadership benchmarks, and establishing yourself as the authoritative public advocate for a movement founded on rigorous science and demonstrated results.
Basic Requirements
- Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- At least 7 years in academic or EdTech leadership roles, leading a team of staff/employees (not an informal peer leader role, such as grade-level lead); you must have been responsible for hiring, monitoring performance, coaching, and making termination decisions
- Experience driving learning outcomes for students and upholding student performance standards
- Experience applying AI or emerging technologies to improve education, such as through personalized learning, adaptive learning, AI agents, etc.
- Experience managing academic teams of 50+ people (e.g., the teams you managed directly executed curriculum, instruction, or assessment)
- Experience interacting directly with students, teachers, or school leaders in a professional setting
