As an International Student Advisor, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering local students to achieve their academic goals and thrive in their educational experience while adapting to new environments. This position involves working closely with students, families, universities, and staff to provide guidance on academic planning, immigration regulations, and cultural adjustment. This is an in person position will be located in Abuja, Nigeria

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities to generate leads and effectively leverage these opportunities. e.g., determine the prospective schools, universities, companies, and scholarship bodies where new leads can be derived and establish effective relationships.
  • Manage and grow network of key contacts (International secondary school contacts, Nigerian University contacts, NYSC Orientation camp contact, other stakeholders).
  • Maintain a database of student information, telephone logs and feedback, ensuring CRM system is updated at all times,
  • Participate in promotional events, recruitment events, open houses, school fairs, information sessions, exhibitions, school visits and off-campus events, capture and follow up of all leads and opportunities to close sales.
  • Counsel prospective students to identify appropriate study options including suitable courses and institutions, programs offered, admission procedure, eligibility and costs involved
  • Act with integrity and professionalism in all interactions with client representatives across communication channels
  • Develop and share market intelligence to ensure understanding of recruitment landscape and future recruitment strategies
  • Support Colleges and Universities in resolving issues that involve parents and students, such as debt collection, school reports or disciplinary matters
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of key countries, student visa rules and compliance requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with students, families and other stake holders to ensure that 365 Global is regarded as a preferred and trusted service provider.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree from a reputable University.
  • Up to 2 years’ experience prior experience working as an Education Counsellor or similar role.
  • Experience in a sales or customer service driven environment, including achieving individual and team-based targets.
  • Good understanding of the education sector and placement of students into post secondary programs including immigration is an advantage.
  • Outstanding stakeholder management, great presentation & communication skills, including fluency in English, both verbal and written.
