Job Vacancy: Project Manager (Oil & Gas)
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Experience Level: 10–15 years in the Oil & Gas sector
Reporting Line: CEO / Managing Director
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven Project Manager to lead and manage assigned Oil & Gas projects. The ideal candidate will ensure successful project delivery across HSE, Quality, Schedule, and Cost objectives, while actively driving business development and managing high-level stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution & Delivery: Lead the full project lifecycle (engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning, and close-out) within approved budgets and timelines.
- Business Development: Secure a cumulative minimum of $5 million in purchase order (PO) and work order (WO) contracts from existing and prospective clients annually.
- Stakeholder & Interface Management: Regularly interface with International Oil Companies (IOCs), clients, OEMs, strategic partners, and regulatory agencies to secure permits and identify new business opportunities.
- Planning & Controls: Develop and maintain Project Execution Plans (PEP), Estimate Confidence Packages (ECP), budgets, risk registers, and resource plans.
- HSE & Compliance: Ensure 100% safety attendance and compliance. Prepare bi-monthly safety meetings and proactively carry out hazard hunt exercises.
- Reporting & Governance: Develop dashboards and performance trackers. Present weekly reports to management and promptly escalate project-related issues within 24 hours.
- Approved Project Execution Plans (PEP) and Estimate Confidence Packages (ECP).
- Projects delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Weekly, monthly, and quarterly project performance dashboards.
- Maintained Risk & Opportunity registers and Lessons Learned logs.
- Successfully secured regulatory permits, approvals, and certifications.
- 10–15 years of proven experience as a Project Manager in the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong network and experience interfacing with IOCs, OEMs, and regulatory bodies.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting commercial targets and managing multi-million dollar project budgets.
- Excellent leadership, risk management, and contract negotiation skills.
