Job Description

  • The Solution Design Engineer is responsible for designing reliable and efficient solar PV and battery energy storage solutions for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) customers.
  • The role focuses on developing system designs, performing technical calculations, preparing engineering drawings, and ensuring all proposed solutions meet customer requirements and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design solar PV and battery energy storage systems for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) projects.
  • Conduct site assessments, energy audits, load analysis, and shading assessments where required.
  • Develop system layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable schedules, and other engineering drawings.
  • Perform system sizing and technical calculations using industry-standard design software.
  • Ensure all designs comply with applicable engineering standards, safety regulations, and company guidelines.
  • Optimize system performance, cost, and energy yield while meeting customer requirements.
  • Support the sales and project teams with technical design information when required.

Civil Engineering

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Professional certification in Solar PV Design or Renewable Energy is an added advantage.
  • 3–5 years of experience in solar PV system design or renewable energy engineering.
  • Strong experience designing Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar PV and battery energy storage systems.
  • Proficiency with solar design software such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, or similar tools.
  • Strong understanding of electrical system design, protection systems, and relevant engineering standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
