Senior Automation Specialist (Central Engineering)

ABOUT THE JOB

The Senior Automation Specialist (Central Engineering) supports automation systems across our manufacturing plants by providing advanced technical expertise, troubleshooting critical automation issues, and improving system reliability. The role also supports strategic engineering initiatives, including the organization's servo motor repair programme and industrial 3D printing for spare parts, helping to enhance equipment availability, reduce costs, and drive automation excellence across multiple manufacturing sites.

IS THIS YOU?

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial automation within FMCG, manufacturing, food & beverage, or process industries.
• Strong hands-on experience with PLCs, HMI, SCADA, industrial networks, motion control, and servo systems.
• Practical experience with Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider Electric or similar automation platforms.
• Excellent troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, and fault diagnosis skills.
• Experience with servo motor repairs, predictive maintenance, industrial 3D printing, SAP, or bottling technology.
• A proactive, collaborative engineer with a passion for continuous improvement and emerging technologies.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide advanced automation support across all manufacturing plants.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex automation and control system failures.
• Support critical plant incidents and improve automation system reliability.
• Lead the organization's servo motor repair programme.
• Coordinate industrial 3D printing initiatives for engineering spare parts.
• Drive preventive and predictive maintenance for automation systems.
• Support automation standardization, modernization, and lifecycle management.
• Develop technical documentation, standards, and troubleshooting guides.
• Partner with Plant Engineering, Production, Procurement, and OEMs to deliver reliable, innovative automation solutions.
