Senior Quantity Surveyor

Location: Jabi, Abuja

A luxury real estate company is looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for cost control, contract administration, and ensuring projects are delivered within budget while maintaining high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ).

* Manage project cost planning, forecasting, and financial reporting.

* Lead tendering processes including preparation of tender documents, evaluation of bids, and contractor selection.

* Administer construction contracts and manage variations, claims, and final accounts.

* Monitor project costs and provide regular cost reports to management.

* Conduct site visits to track project progress and ensure alignment with cost plans.

* Negotiate with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to achieve best value.

* Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors where required.

Requirements

* Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

* 7+ years’ experience in quantity surveying within construction projects.

* Strong knowledge of cost management, procurement, and contract administration.

* Proven experience in preparing BOQs, cost estimates, and managing project budgets.

* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
