Job Description

NOV Well Site Services (Nigeia) is looking for a Solids Control Supervisor to oversee the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of solids control equipment on customer drilling rigs. This is an exciting opportunity to work with industry-leading technology while supporting safe and efficient drilling operations.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

As a Solids Control Supervisor, You Will

  • Operate, monitor, and optimise NOV solids control equipment, including:
    • Centrifuges
    • Cuttings Dryers
    • Shale Shakers
  • Perform preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Conduct rig surveys and provide recommendations for equipment installation and setup.
  • Monitor equipment performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability.
  • Prepare daily operational reports and monthly equipment performance documentation.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and equipment inventories.
  • Work closely with drilling contractors and operators to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Participate in continuous training and development to expand your technical expertise.
  • Support workshop activities, equipment preparation, and warehouse operations when required.
Qualifications

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience operating and maintaining solids control equipment in offshore drilling environments.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience conducting rig surveys and preparing technical reports.
  • Ability to interpret drilling fluid (mud) reports and understand their impact on equipment performance.
  • Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent relationships with clients and colleagues.
