Business Development Associate - Miri Air

You'll be responsible for shaping how brands look, feel, and communicate.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities for Miri Air across government agencies, manufacturing companies, carbon project developers, and infrastructure operators
- Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline from prospecting to deal closure
- Lead outbound outreach (email, calls, LinkedIn) and coordinate inbound lead follow-ups
- Prepare proposals, pricing models, and commercial offers tailored to client needs
- Support negotiations and contract execution with public and private sector clients
- Develop strategic partnerships with ecosystem players (government, climate fintechs, sustainability platforms, research institutions)
- Conduct market research to identify new sectors and geographic expansion opportunities
- Represent Miri Africa at industry events, conferences, and stakeholder meetings
- Collaborate with the product and technical teams to translate customer feedback into product improvements
- Track KPIs including pipeline value, conversion rates, and revenue targets
- Maintain CRM hygiene and sales reporting
- 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or enterprise account management
- Experience selling B2B products or services (preferably SaaS, climate tech, IoT, data, or enterprise solutions)
- Strong ability to build and manage a sales pipeline independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders in government, insurance, agritech, or corporate sectors
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Strong proposal writing and presentation skills
- Analytical mindset with ability to understand technical products and translate them into commercial value
- Familiarity with CRM tools and structured sales processes
- Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
- Experience working with public sector clients
- Background in climate tech, environmental science, agriculture, insurance, or sustainability
- Understanding of carbon markets, ESG reporting, or parametric insurance
- Existing professional network within target sectors
- Experience operating across multiple African markets
