Sul Ross State seeks print shop manager for Alpine campus

The full-time position within the university’s Communication and Marketing Department pays $36,568 annually and will remain open until filled.
The manager will operate printing equipment, work directly with customers, review orders for accuracy and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines. Other duties include maintaining equipment and inventory, securing quotes for outsourced projects, submitting invoices and keeping departmental printing and purchasing-card records.
The manager will also prepare printed materials, assist with editorial and media-related work and fulfill printing requests from the broader community when requested. The position supervises student employees.
Applicants must have at least three years of experience with web-based communications and software, including Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
The university is seeking applicants with knowledge of graphic design software, prepress production, scanning, color correction, copying and programs including Publisher, Word and Excel. The position requires on-site attendance in Alpine and may involve overtime and lifting items ranging from light to heavy.
