Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with company HSE policies, procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections, audits, and safety observations to identify hazards, unsafe acts, and non-compliance issues, ensuring timely corrective actions.
- Monitor fleet operations, vehicle movements, loading/offloading activities, and driver compliance with road safety, journey management, and defensive driving standards.
- Conduct safety inspections of all facilities to ensure operational readiness and safe working conditions.
- Ensure compliance with CNG operational procedures, process safety requirements, and emergency response protocols.
- Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and implementation of risk control measures.
- Monitor driver fitness for duty, including adherence to work-rest schedules, and identify fatigue-related risks as part of routine safety checks.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, near misses, and unsafe occurrences, prepare reports, and monitor closure of corrective actions.
- Deliver safety inductions, toolbox talks, driver engagement sessions, and awareness programs to promote a strong safety culture.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response initiatives across operational locations.
- Monitor housekeeping, environmental compliance, waste management, and pollution prevention practices.
- Maintain accurate HSE records, prepare periodic reports, and support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and certification assessments.
- Monitor contractor and third-party activities to ensure compliance with company HSSE requirements and industry best practices.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline.
- NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) – Preferred.
- IOSH Managing Safely or Equivalent.
- ISPON Membership/Certification.
- HSE Level I, II & III Certifications.
- Additional certifications in Fire Safety, Defensive Driving, Incident Investigation, or CNG Operations Safety will be an advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant HSE experience within logistics, transportation, manufacturing, oil & gas, fleet operations, or CNG facilities.
- Demonstrated experience in safety inspections, incident investigations, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring.
- Experience managing transport safety programs and working in high-risk operational environments is highly desirable.
