About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Physiotherapist to deliver exceptional musculoskeletal assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and injury prevention services within a premium hospitality environment. The successful candidate will provide evidence-based physiotherapy care that supports recovery, enhances physical performance, and promotes long-term musculoskeletal health for members and private clients.
Working collaboratively with physicians, personal trainers, wellness coaches, and other healthcare professionals, the Physiotherapist will design individualized rehabilitation programmes and contribute to an integrated wellness experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive physiotherapy assessments, physical examinations, and functional movement evaluations.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal, orthopedic, neurological, sports-related, and post-surgical conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and rehabilitation programmes based on clinical findings and client goals.
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, soft tissue mobilization, electrotherapy, therapeutic taping, and other appropriate treatment modalities.
- Design progressive rehabilitation programmes that facilitate safe return to physical activity, fitness, and optimal functional performance.
- Collaborate with physicians, wellness coaches, personal trainers, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated multidisciplinary care.
- Conduct injury prevention screenings, posture assessments, movement analysis, and ergonomic evaluations.
- Educate clients on injury prevention, pain management, posture correction, home exercise programmes, and healthy movement strategies.
- Monitor treatment progress, evaluate outcomes, and modify rehabilitation programmes where necessary.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, treatment records, assessment reports, and electronic medical records in accordance with professional standards.
- Ensure physiotherapy equipment and treatment areas are maintained, calibrated, clean, safe, and compliant with infection prevention protocols.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels of physiotherapy consumables and treatment supplies.
- Participate in wellness education programmes, health campaigns, and member engagement initiatives.
- Keep abreast of current research, emerging treatment techniques, and evidence-based physiotherapy practices through continuous professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all clinical governance, professional ethics, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare periodic clinical and operational reports as required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Current practicing licence and registration with the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists (Registration) Board of Nigeria (MRTB).
- Minimum of 4–7 years' post-qualification clinical experience in physiotherapy.
- Demonstrated expertise in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries, and manual therapy.
- Experience in post-operative rehabilitation, chronic pain management, and functional movement rehabilitation is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications in Dry Needling, Shockwave Therapy, Manual Therapy, Sports Physiotherapy, Kinesiology Taping, or related specialties will be an added advantage.
- Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, and rehabilitation planning skills.
- Excellent knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics, kinesiology, exercise prescription, and pain management.
- Proficiency in electrotherapy equipment and other modern physiotherapy treatment technologies.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.
- Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR), clinical software, Microsoft Office Suite, and digital documentation systems.
- High ethical standards, professionalism, integrity, and commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Must reside in Abuja or be willing to relocate.
