The Accounting Officer will support the organization’s financial operations by maintaining accurate records and assisting with financial management processes. This role offers practical exposure to accounting operations, corporate finance, and audit preparation.

Key Responsibilities

Input daily financial data into accounting systems and maintain organized records.
Process invoices, verify transactions, and ensure proper documentation.
Audit bank statements, financial records, and ledgers to resolve discrepancies.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
Support preparation of financial statements, management reports, and documentation.
Assist with internal and external audit preparation.
Monitor accounts payable and receivable activities.
Maintain accurate records of expenses, payments, receipts, and transactions.
Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
NYSC members and recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Professional accounting certifications (or ongoing certification) are an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Office Suite, and accounting software.
Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
