Role Overview
SEA-FAJ Consults Limited is recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced, strategic, and results-oriented Head, Wealth Management. The successful candidate will lead the Wealth Management function, driving business growth through the acquisition and management of Mass Affluent, High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs), and Ultra-High-Net-Worth Individuals (UHNWIs).
The role is responsible for leading a high-performing team of wealth management professionals, developing business growth strategies, managing client relationships, overseeing investment and lending solutions, and ensuring the delivery of exceptional financial advisory services. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, extensive experience in wealth management, and a proven ability to deliver sustainable revenue growth while maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Management
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Wealth Management team to achieve business objectives.
- Recruit, mentor, coach, and develop wealth management professionals to maximise individual and team performance.
- Set performance objectives, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Foster a high-performance, client-centric, and collaborative culture.
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement strategies to acquire Mass Affluent, High-Net-Worth (HNW), and Ultra-High-Net-Worth (UHNW) clients.
- Drive sustainable revenue growth through the sale of investment products, fixed-income solutions, and specialised lending products.
- Identify new market opportunities and develop strategic partnerships to expand the client portfolio.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and business opportunities.
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-value clients by understanding their financial goals and objectives.
- Provide tailored wealth management, investment, and financial planning solutions that meet clients' evolving needs.
- Ensure the delivery of exceptional client service and a superior customer experience.
- Manage complex client relationships while maintaining high retention levels.
Wealth Advisory & Credit Solutions
- Advise clients on investment opportunities, portfolio diversification, and wealth preservation strategies.
- Lead discussions with clients regarding personal and corporate lending opportunities.
- Conduct credit assessments and collaborate with the Risk Management team to facilitate loan approvals and disbursements.
- Monitor loan performance throughout the credit lifecycle, ensuring effective portfolio management and timely repayments.
Sales & Marketing
- Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to increase market penetration.
- Lead client presentations, investment proposals, and business development engagements.
- Promote the organisation's wealth management products and financial solutions to target markets.
- Strengthen the organisation's brand presence within the wealth management industry.
Financial Performance & Reporting
- Monitor business performance against revenue and profitability targets.
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
- Prepare regular management reports on sales performance, portfolio growth, and client acquisition.
- Recommend initiatives to improve operational efficiency and financial performance.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards.
- Promote sound risk management practices across investment and lending activities.
- Maintain audit readiness and ensure proper documentation of client transactions.
- Uphold the highest standards of ethics, governance, and confidentiality.
Market Intelligence & Collaboration
- Monitor market trends, economic developments, competitor activities, and client preferences.
- Work closely with Product Development, Marketing, Risk Management, and Operations teams to enhance service delivery.
- Provide strategic insights that support business growth and product innovation.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting, Banking, or a related discipline.
- A postgraduate degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum of 8–10 years' experience in Wealth Management, Private Banking, Investment Banking, Financial Services, or a related field.
- At least 3–5 years' experience in a senior leadership or management role.
- Demonstrated success in managing High-Net-Worth and Ultra-High-Net-Worth client portfolios.
- Proven track record of delivering business growth and achieving revenue targets.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of investment products, fixed-income instruments, portfolio management, and wealth advisory services.
- Sound understanding of credit analysis, specialised lending, and financial risk assessment.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, portfolio management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong financial analysis, reporting, and business planning skills.
- Excellent understanding of financial services regulations and compliance requirements.
