You will be performing tasks related to chemical laboratory activities supporting service delivery operations such as conducting laboratory tests of products, samples and systems; collect, submit and explains test results; always apply company and industry standards and safety practices; maintain equipment, materials and work areas in working order; support incident investigations; communicate with internal customers about specific projects and requests, mentor junior peers.

As a Laboratory Specialist , you will be responsible for:


  • Understanding of performance of laboratory testing protocols for both research and Technical Support.
  • Management of Laboratory Projects within the Laboratory.
  • Generation, collection, and organization of laboratory data, to include detailed reporting of same for both field support work and research projects. Collaboration with HQ project teams.
  • Ensuring that laboratory and lab equipment are clean, maintained and organized.
  • Staying abreast of HSE and Waste disposal 
  • Assisting in project planning and review . May participate in customer interface
  • Planing new equipment purchases as required
  • Assessing results for applicability, validity and conformance to specifications for all employees of Laboratory.


To be successful in this role you will:


  • Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, influencing and planning skills
  • Understanding of Laboratory testing, analytical characterizations and measurement techniques.
  • Knowledge of fluids used in the oil & gas industry.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Good project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team, delivering project presentations
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally for training or product support, approximately 2-4 weeks per year.
  • Have sound working knowledge in all lab functions
  • Ability to build peer relationships as well as work independently
  • Be action-oriented, ethical in value, and have a strong customer focus
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues in all areas - capable of technical report writing. 
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skill set executed against multidimensional challenges
  • Delivering project presentations
  • Working with minimum supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters
