Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Benin City, responsible for overseeing day-to-day restaurant operations. This role supervises front-of-house and back-of-house teams, ensures consistent food quality and service standards, and manages scheduling, staffing, and performance. The General Manager monitors sales and costs, manages cash handling and inventory, and implements operational procedures to improve efficiency and profitability. They handle customer feedback, maintain a safe and clean environment, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements. The role also involves supporting local marketing initiatives, training and developing team members, and upholding Kada Bistro’s values of authenticity, community impact, and exceptional guest experience.
Qualifications

  • Experience in restaurant or hospitality management, including daily operations oversight, staff supervision, and customer service leadership.
  • Strong skills in budgeting, basic accounting, cash handling, and cost control to manage revenue and expenses effectively.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and coach diverse teams, with skills in performance management, conflict resolution, and workforce planning.
  • Operational excellence skills, including inventory management, supply chain coordination, quality assurance, and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for engaging guests, collaborating with partners, and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic digital tools used in modern QSR or retail environments.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Minimum of a diploma or degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience in QSR or restaurant operations is highly valued.
  • Prior experience in the Nigerian QSR or food service industry and familiarity with Benin City market dynamics is an advantage.
