The App Development Tutor will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in mobile application development through practical, project-based training. The tutor will develop and deliver lessons, guide students through app development projects, provide technical support and feedback, and help learners build the skills required to create functional mobile applications. The role also involves assessing students’ progress, simplifying complex technical concepts, encouraging problem-solving, and keeping training content relevant to current industry practices. Key Responsibilities * Develop and deliver practical app development lessons for students. * Teach students the fundamentals and practical applications of mobile app development. * Guide students through building functional mobile applications from concept to deployment. * Create lesson plans, practical exercises, assignments, and project-based learning activities. * Explain technical concepts clearly to students with different levels of experience. * Provide code reviews, feedback, and technical support during projects. * Supervise students' individual and group projects. * Introduce students to industry-standard development tools and best practices. * Teach debugging, testing, version control, and basic app deployment processes. * Keep course content updated with current industry trends and technologies. * Assess students' progress through practical tasks, projects, and evaluations. * Encourage students to develop problem-solving and independent learning skills. * Maintain a professional and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in mobile application development. 2. Strong knowledge of at least two major mobile app development technology/framework, such as: * Flutter/Dart * React Native/JavaScript * Kotlin/Android * Swift/iOS * Good understanding of programming fundamentals and software development principles. * Experience working with APIs and integrating backend services into applications. * Familiarity with databases and data management. * Knowledge of Git/GitHub and basic software development workflows. * Ability to build and demonstrate functional applications/projects. * Previous teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or training experience is an advantage. * Strong communication and presentation skills. * Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, beginner-friendly language. * Patience and willingness to work with learners at different skill levels. * Ability to prepare practical assignments and projects. Preferred Qualifications * Experience developing and deploying real-world mobile applications. * A portfolio/GitHub profile showcasing previous projects. * Experience teaching coding bootcamps, academies, universities, or private learners. * Understanding of UI/UX principles is an added advantage.
