About The Role
We are seeking a creative, commercially minded and results-driven Digital Marketing & Social Media Officer to manage the company's online presence and drive customer engagement and sales for its growing gadget retail business.
The successful candidate will develop and execute digital marketing campaigns promoting mobile phones, laptops, tablets, accessories and other electronic gadgets across relevant digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement digital marketing and social media strategies.
- Manage the company's social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and WhatsApp Business.
- Create engaging content including graphics, videos, product posts, reels and promotional materials.
- Develop and maintain a consistent social media content calendar.
- Photograph and create video content for new products, promotions and store activities.
- Write compelling captions, product descriptions and promotional copy.
- Promote products, discounts, new arrivals and special offers.
- Generate leads and drive online enquiries and sales through digital channels.
- Respond promptly and professionally to comments, messages and customer enquiries.
- Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to increase engagement and visibility.
- Run and monitor paid advertising campaigns across relevant platforms.
- Track campaign performance, engagement, leads and conversions.
- Prepare weekly and monthly digital marketing performance reports.
- Monitor competitors' digital activities, pricing and promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with the Sales and Operations teams to convert online leads into customers.
- Maintain the company's online brand image and ensure consistent brand communication.
- Support influencer marketing, partnerships and other promotional activities.
- Continuously test new content formats and digital strategies to improve reach and sales.
- Perform other marketing duties assigned by the Managing Director.
- HND or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Digital Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in digital marketing, social media management or a related role.
- Experience in retail, gadgets, electronics, telecommunications or consumer technology is highly preferred.
- Proven experience managing business social media accounts.
- Strong knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and WhatsApp Business.
- Experience with Meta Ads and other digital advertising platforms.
- Good knowledge of Canva, CapCut or similar content creation tools.
- Strong copywriting and communication skills.
- Good understanding of social media analytics and digital marketing metrics.
- Creative, proactive and commercially aware.
- Strong understanding of online customer acquisition and lead generation.
- Ability to create engaging photo and video content using a smartphone or other basic equipment.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Candidates residing in Lekki, Orchid or surrounding areas will be preferred.
