Selectium Kenya is seeking Account Manager to join our Hewlett Packard Enterprise team in NIgeria.


Job Scope

The Account Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans that drive revenue growth across HPE's portfolio, with a particular focus on Networking solutions across Telco and Data Centre spaces with enterprise Network infrastructure offerings.

This role requires a strong blend of executive account management, business development, consultative selling, and networking domain expertise. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to customers, engage senior decision makers, identify transformational opportunities, and lead complex sales engagements from opportunity creation through deal closure.

The role carries significant responsibility for revenue growth, market expansion, customer satisfaction, and strategic relationship management.


Main Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Account Management

  • Develop and execute comprehensive account strategies for assigned strategic enterprise and public sector accounts.
  • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with CIOs, CTOs, CEOs, Boards, Directors, and other key stakeholders across the Telco and Data centre Space
  • Drive customer engagements that advance digital transformation, networking modernization, hybrid cloud adoption, AI initiatives, and data center transformation.
  • Identify opportunities to expand wallet share and increase HPE footprint within existing accounts.


Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Identify, qualify, develop, and close new business opportunities across the HPE portfolio.
  • Generate demand and create opportunities within both existing and new customers.
  • Develop strategies for market expansion and competitive displacement.
  • Drive revenue attainment in accordance with annual and quarterly sales objectives.


Networking & Solution Leadership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor for enterprise networking and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Position HPE Enterprise Networking solutions across business platforms.
  • Engage customers in business and technical discussions to understand their challenges and define transformative solutions.
  • Collaborate with pre-sales, solution architects, technical consultants, and ecosystem partners to develop compelling value propositions.


Partner & Ecosystem Development

  • Build strong relationships with HPE channel partners, system integrators, and strategic alliances.
  • Develop joint business plans and pipeline initiatives with partners.
  • Ensure alignment between customer needs, partner capabilities, and HPE's value proposition.
  • Leverage the HPE ecosystem to accelerate business growth and customer success.


Forecasting & Business Planning

  • Develop accurate revenue forecasts and pipeline reporting.
  • Maintain visibility of opportunities across all sales stages.
  • Drive disciplined opportunity management using approved sales methodologies.
  • Present business reviews, account plans, pipeline status, and growth strategies to management.


Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in enterprise technology sales, account management, business development, or strategic consulting.
  • Proven experience managing government, large enterprise and/or Telco accounts.
  • Demonstrated history of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience selling networking, infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise technology solutions.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise networking technologies and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience within HPE, and OEMs within similar technology solutions will be preferred.
  • Experience managing multi-million-dollar sales opportunities.
