Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
- Maintain and repair pharmaceutical production equipment, including mixers, granulators, tablet presses, capsule machines, coating machines, packing equipment, conveyors, pumps, compressors, and other mechanical systems.
- Support the installation, commissioning, qualification, and validation of new equipment and machinery.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and productivity.
- Conduct routine inspection of machines, mechanical systems, pipelines, pumps, valves, bearings, gearboxes, and other components.
- Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance records, equipment history, work orders, and technical reports.
- Ensure maintenance activities are performed in accordance with approved SOPs, GMP, and safety procedures.
- Participate in equipment breakdown analysis, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Assist in developing and reviewing preventive maintenance schedules and checklists.
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional engineering certification or relevant membership is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5–10years of relevant experience, preferably within pharmaceutical, FMCG, manufacturing environments.
- Practical experience in industrial equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Experience working with GMP-regulated manufacturing equipment is highly desirable.
