Japahub (japahub.com) is the safety layer for migration, a platform where every job, scholarship and visa pathway carries a risk rating, communities are moderated, and reporting a scam or trafficking red flag takes one tap. Nigeria is where Japahub was born and our largest community: the home base for everyone planning the journey, and everyone helping someone else plan theirs.

The role

You'll run Japahub's flagship Nigeria community: the place where 'japa' plans start, questions get honest answers, and scams get caught before they cost anyone their savings.

What you'll do

• Welcome new members to the community, keep conversations helpful and kind, and make sure no question goes unanswered.
• Start and steer the weekly threads that matter: visas, scholarships, jobs, housing, cost of living, settling in.
• Surface real opportunities for the community and route them through our verification process before they're shared.
• Protect people: spot suspicious offers, fake agents and red flags, and escalate them through Japahub's reporting and moderation tools (you'll be trained on our Safe Layer playbook).
• Run the scam-alert conversation: collect the fake-agent stories, the too-good-to-be-true offers and the red flags members report, and turn them into warnings everyone can learn from.
• Be the voice of your community to our product team, what members need next shapes what we build next.
  

What we're looking for

We're looking for people who are already living this, people who track global opportunities the way others track football scores. You might be our person if:

• You're planning your own move abroad, or you've been through the process and now everyone you know asks you for guidance.
• You've personally applied to international scholarships or visas (Chevening, Commonwealth Shared Scholarships, DAAD, Erasmus Mundus, Fulbright, MEXT, Canada study permits, UK Skilled Worker) any real application experience is a genuine plus.
• You're already the unofficial admin: the person posting opportunities in WhatsApp groups, correcting bad visa advice on X, or helping friends review their SOPs.
• You can smell a fake job offer from the first line, and you hate what these scams do to families.
• You write clearly, reply warmly and show up consistently.
  

Good to know

• Remote and flexible, a few hours a week to start, growing with the community.
• You'll get full training on Japahub's Safe Layer: verification, moderation and trafficking-aware escalation.
• You'll be one of the earliest members of the team building the safety layer for global migration, with real influence on the product and the community's culture.
• You'll work closest to the founding team of any community manager, this is the community the rest are modelled on.
