Growth & Partnerships Associate

Location: Abuja / Hybrid

Salary: ₦120,000/month during 3-month probation

Post-probation: Salary review up to ₦150,000 based on performance

Additional: Performance-based bonuses

Topupmate is a Nigerian technology company building tools and infrastructure that help businesses provide and manage digital payment services.

Our products include Topupmate Build, Topupmate Connect, and Prime Biller, serving businesses, developers, entrepreneurs and consumers.

We're looking for a Growth & Partnerships Associate who will help us acquire more customers, build partnerships and grow revenue across our products.

This is not a role for someone who simply wants to post on social media or wait for instructions.

We're looking for someone who can identify opportunities, test ideas, reach people, build relationships and turn experiments into measurable results.

Customer Acquisition

• Identify and test new channels for acquiring Topupmate customers.
• Develop outbound strategies for Build and Connect.
• Research and reach potential customers, businesses, startups and partners.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified prospects.
• Follow up with prospects and move them toward conversion.

Partnerships

• Identify potential referral, reseller and strategic partners.
• Develop and manage partnership opportunities.
• Build relationships with communities, businesses, developers and other relevant organizations.
• Help improve Topupmate's referral and partnership programs.

Prime Biller Growth

• Develop strategies to reactivate inactive users.
• Test campaigns and offers to increase active users and transaction volume.
• Analyze user behaviour and identify opportunities to improve retention and revenue.

Growth Experiments

• Research competitors and market opportunities.
• Test different acquisition and growth strategies.
• Track results and determine what works and what doesn't.
• Work closely with the CEO and team to turn successful experiments into repeatable growth channels.
  

You don't need 5–10 years of experience.

We care more about ability, initiative and evidence that you can get things done.

You should:

• Have some experience in sales, business development, growth, marketing, partnerships or a startup environment.
• Be comfortable reaching out to people you don't know.
• Be a strong communicator.
• Be curious and willing to research.
• Be comfortable using tools such as WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Google Sheets, social media and other digital tools.
• Be able to work independently without needing to be told what to do every step of the way.
• Think in terms of outcomes, not just activities.
• Be willing to experiment, fail, learn and try again.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment.
  

• Experience growing a product or business.
• Previous sales or business development experience.
• Experience building partnerships or communities.
• Experience working with SaaS, fintech, APIs or technology products.
• A track record of achieving measurable results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  

• ₦120,000 monthly during the 3-month probation period.
• Salary review after probation, with the potential to increase to ₦150,000/month based on demonstrated competence and performance.
