Our client is a leading non-profit organisation dedicated to improving health outcomes in Nigeria through advocacy, strategic partnerships, health system strengthening, and initiatives that expand access to quality healthcare for underserved populations. The organisation seeks a dynamic and visionary MD/CEO to lead its next phase of growth and impact.
Role Summary
The MD/CEO will provide strategic leadership and overall stewardship of the organisation, driving sustainable growth, fundraising, donor engagement, and strategic partnerships. The role incumbent will also be responsible for strengthening organisational performance, ensuring good governance, and advancing the organisation's mission and long-term impact.
Summary of Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and overall stewardship of the organisation.
- Drive organisational growth through fundraising, partnerships, and resource mobilisation.
- Lead stakeholder engagement with the Board, government, donors, development partners, and corporate organisations.
- Oversee financial sustainability, governance, and risk management.
- Champion high-impact programmes that deliver measurable and sustainable outcomes.
- Build and lead a high-performing organisation, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and innovation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in Business, Finance, Public Health, Public Policy, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Relevant executive education or professional qualifications is desirable.
- 10 years' relevant leadership experience spanning financial, operational, programme, or institutional management, with at least 5 years in a senior executive role.
- Experience in the non-profit, development, healthcare, philanthropic, or public sector.
- Strong creative thinking skills, with the ability to identify opportunities, solve complex problems, and drive innovation.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset, demonstrating initiative, resilience, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
- Good track record in fundraising, donor engagement, business development, and strategic partnerships.
- Sound stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging Boards, government, development partners, and corporate leaders.
- Extensive networks, strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to drive organisational growth and impact.
