CEWA Medical Manager (Lagos Based)

To lead and execute the CEWA Medical Strategy for Eucerin across CEWA markets, currently including Nigeria and Kenya, by translating global and regional scientific priorities into locally relevant plans that strengthen scientific credibility, advance healthcare professional education and engagement, generate actionable medical insights, and support responsible, sustainable business growth. The role leads the Medical Detailing team and ensures that all medical activities and communications meet scientific, ethical, regulatory and compliance standards.
- CEWA Medical Strategy & Planning Develop and execute CEWA Medical Strategy and annual country plans aligned with Global, Regional, brand and business priorities, adapting to local needs and market maturity.
- Medical Detailing & Field Excellence Lead and coach the Medical Detailing team on HCP segmentation, targeting, coverage, frequency and call quality, ensuring scientific, ethical and compliant execution.
- Medical Education & Training Develop and deliver scientific onboarding, certification and continuous training for Medical Detailers, Sales Representatives and Dermo-Consultants, ensuring knowledge application in the field.
- KOL, DOL, Society & Institutional Partnerships Build strategic relationships with KOLs, DOLs, medical societies, universities and healthcare institutions through compliant advisory boards, round tables and scientific programmes.
- Congresses & Scientific Engagement Lead the annual congress and scientific engagement plan, including professional events, speakers, booths and digital activities, and measure impact and learnings.
- Medical Insights & Scientific Intelligence Gather and analyse HCP, KOL, field and competitive insights on scientific trends, unmet needs and treatment behaviours to inform strategy, training and innovation.
- Evidence Generation & Scientific Dissemination Identify local evidence gaps and support clinical, real-world evidence and consumer studies, including abstracts, publications and scientific presentations.
- Scientific Content, Claims & Communications Governance Review and approve scientific claims, medical materials, training, PR, digital and congress content to ensure accuracy, substantiation, balance and compliance.
- Product Launch, Lifecycle & Regulatory Support Lead medical readiness for launches and relaunches, including scientific narratives, evidence translation, FAQs, objection handling and field-force training.
- Performance, Budget & Operations Manage a balanced scorecard covering HCP reach, detailing quality, training, KOL engagement, insights, congress impact, CRM quality, budget and compliance.
- Education and Qualifications - Medical or Health Sciences degree required. An additional qualification in dermatology, public health, medical affairs or business is advantageous.
- Experience - Typically, 3-4 years of relevant experience in Medical Affairs, medical detailing, the pharmaceutical industry or dermocosmetics, including people management responsibility. Demonstrated experience working with physicians, KOLs, field teams, congresses, scientific training and large audiences.
- Skills - Strong scientific communication and presentation skills; strategic planning; coaching and people leadership; stakeholder and relationship management; project and budget management; analytical thinking; digital engagement; and confident use of CRM and performance data. Fluent English is required.
