Inventory Officer

We’re Hiring: Inventory Officer (Retail Store)

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Officer to support the daily inventory operations of a busy retail business.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate stock records, proper product handling, and smooth coordination between the store, warehouse, and sales teams.

This role requires someone who is hands-on, reliable, and very accurate with numbers and stock management.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, count, and record incoming stock

• Update inventory records in the system (ERP or spreadsheets)

• Monitor stock levels and report low or out-of-stock items

• Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts

• Identify and report discrepancies between physical and recorded stock

• Label and organize products properly (SKU/barcode where applicable)

• Support stock transfers between store and warehouse

• Maintain clean and well-organized stock areas

• Work closely with the Inventory Manager / Operations team

Requirements

• At least 1–2 years experience in inventory, storekeeping, or stock control

• Basic experience using inventory systems, ERP, or spreadsheets

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Good organizational skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment

• Must be reliable and able to follow structured processes

• Must be able to resume immediately or within a short period

Preferred (Advantage)

• Experience in retail, wholesale, or FMCG

• Familiarity with barcode or SKU systems

• Basic Excel or Google Sheets knowledge
