Key Account Manager

Your Mission
The Key Account Manager (KAM) will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with major accounts in Nigeria. The role focuses on driving business growth through new project openings, expanding product portfolios, and ensuring strong partnerships with top customers such as industrial bakeries, and large retail chains.
What You Will Do
Account Development & Strategy
- Identify, target, and open new business opportunities with top-tier industrial bakeries, pastry producers.
- Develop and execute key account strategies aligned with company objectives and growth targets.
- Establish long-term business partnerships and ensure consistent follow-up on commercial and technical activities.
- Achieve sales and profitability targets for assigned accounts.
- Introduce new products, ingredients, and solutions to drive innovation within customer operations.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and annual agreements with key clients.
- Lead new project development with clients—from concept to launch—coordinating with technical, marketing, and supply chain teams.
- Ensure timely execution of product trials, technical support, and approvals.
- Monitor industry trends, competitors, and customer insights to identify market gaps and growth opportunities.
- Provide regular reporting and forecasts on sales performance and account status.
- Work closely with internal teams (technical support, R&D, logistics, and marketing) to deliver superior customer value.
- Support promotional activities, customer training, and product demonstrations in collaboration with the technical team.
- Bachelor’s degree Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in B2B sales or key account management within the bakery, pastry, food ingredients industry or anything related
- Proven track record of developing and maintaining major accounts.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong analytical and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel across Nigeria and occasionally within the region.
- You are curious about digital tools, data & AI and comfortable learning new systems to make work safer, simpler, and more efficient.
