About The Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Officer/Associate to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will support financial operations, reconciliations, tax compliance, project financing, digital wallet monitoring, and financial reporting.The candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and financial documentation, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and monitor project, AGRA, and input financing transactions, including inflows, outflows, repayments, documentation, and reporting.
  • Perform bank and Balance Sheet reconciliations, with primary responsibility for USD and project-dedicated accounts.
  • Support tax compliance by maintaining tax schedules and assisting with PAYE, WHT, VAT, and other statutory remittances and filings.
  • Monitor Kasuwa deposits and withdrawals, reconcile wallet transactions with bank statements, and flag discrepancies or suspicious transactions.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documents for management reporting, audits, and project reviews.
  • Assist in tracking cash flow and providing relevant financial information for decision-making.
  • Provide general finance support, including data entry, filing, financial analysis, and other duties assigned by the CFO and Finance Manager.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, particularly PINE, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Good understanding of bank reconciliation, Balance Sheet reconciliation, and financial controls.
  • Knowledge of Nigerian tax compliance, including PAYE, WHT, VAT, FIRS, and FCT-IRS requirements.
  • Ability to monitor and reconcile digital wallet transactions, including Kasuwa, and identify discrepancies or suspicious transactions.
  • Good knowledge of project finance, financial documentation, reporting, and audit requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Finance team.
