Data Science Intern
Click-On Kaduna
Remote
Company Description The Click-On Kaduna Data Science Fellowship Programme (DSFP) is part of Kaduna State's Data Revolution Plan, aimed at strengthening the coordination, collection, and use of data for evidence-based decision-making. The programme is anchored by the Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics (KDBS), in collaboration with the Natview Foundation for Technology Innovation (NFTI), with support from the Gates Foundation.
Now in its sixth year, DSFP has grown from the Data Lab Project initiative into an ongoing pipeline for developing human capital in data science and data-driven decision-making across Kaduna State. DSFP 6.0 sharpens that mission further, anchoring the program on strengthening Kaduna State's health data systems and the readiness of Primary Healthcare Centers (PHCs).
Role Description: The Data Science Fellows at Click-On Kaduna is a paid 6-month, on-site internship based in Kaduna. The interns will work with datasets from the health sector, helping to clean, organize, and analyze data to support ongoing digital transformation projects in the Kaduna State Bureau of Statistics and the Ministry of Health. Day-to-day tasks include performing exploratory data analysis, applying basic statistical methods, generating visualizations, and assisting in the development of data-driven insights and reports. The intern will be trained and collaborate with project teams to support decision-making, document methodologies, and present findings in clear, accessible formats. This role is designed to provide practical experience in data science while contributing to impactful initiatives in Kaduna State.
