Growth and Partnerships Manager
Happy2Host Edu
Remote
Happy2Host Africa is looking for a Growth and Partnerships Manager to lead our commercial expansion in Nigeria.
You will own the Nigerian revenue line. That means opening and closing new business with private schools, school groups, associations, universities, and businesses, turning single training days into retained partnerships.
It also means keeping the engine running. You will coordinate our workshops and events on the ground, and you will manage the Nigerian trainer bench so the right trainer is in the right room with the right materials.
This is a senior role with real ownership. You will be the most senior Happy2Host person in Nigeria day-to-day, working closely with the founder rather than through layers of management.
Happy2Host Education is a highly successful Google for Education Partner based in London. We train schools, colleges, universities, and businesses across the UK and Europe on Google Workspace, Gemini, and practical AI. We were founded by a teacher, which is why we focus on teaching and learning rather than just IT.
Now, we are expanding our proven European model into Nigeria through Happy2Host Africa. We have already laid strong foundations: we hosted the Google for Education Summit in Lagos, we are running our first Nigerian Google certification cohort and Train the Trainer workshop, and we will be at the APEN conference in November. Crucially, we have a live programme with Google covering sustained Gemini adoption across Nigerian education, running through to July 2027.
We operate a modern, flexible working environment. As our founding growth hire in the region, you will work remotely with a high degree of autonomy, supported by a co-working allowance. You will be stepping into a registered company with a premium Google partnership.
New business and revenue
- Own the Nigerian revenue target and the plan to reach it.
- Identify, open, and close opportunities with private schools, school groups, universities, and businesses.
- Lead the full sales cycle: first conversation, needs discussion, proposal, negotiation, signed contract.
- Write proposals and quotes using our templates and rate card, and get them out within agreed timeframes.
- Convert one-off training days into retained partnerships and multi-school agreements.
- Build and hold direct relationships with proprietors, heads, directors, and university leadership.
- Represent Happy2Host with the associations and networks, including NAPPS, AISEN, APEN, and the GEG chapters.
- Support the Google relationship in the country, working alongside the founder, and provide feedback on what is actually happening on the ground.
- Coordinate delivery of our workshops, Gemini Academies, and conference presence in Nigeria.
- Own venue, logistics, delegate lists, materials, and the on-the-day running of the room, working with the Director of Operations on budget and contracts.
- Make sure every event has a follow-up plan and that leads from the room reach the pipeline within a week.
- Manage the Nigerian trainer roster: scheduling, briefing, materials, and confirmation of bookings.
- Match the right trainer to the right client and keep utilisation sensible across the bench.
- Run quality checks after delivery. Feedback collected, issues raised early, standards held.
- Keep the certified trainer pipeline warm as candidates progress towards Google Certified Trainer status.
- Keep every prospect, stage, and next action current in our CRM
- Provide a weekly pipeline and revenue update that can be read in five minutes.
- Forecast honestly. We would rather hear a problem in week two than in month three.
- Nothing sits silent for more than seven days.
We will agree your targets together in your first month and review them at three and six months. These are the measures the role is judged on.
Measure: Revenue signed and collected
What we are looking at: Against the target agreed in month one
Measure: Retained partnerships
What we are looking at: Number of schools on repeat agreements rather than single days
Measure: Pipeline health
What we are looking at: Coverage against target, accuracy of forecast, speed of follow-up
Measure: Event delivery
What we are looking at: Delivered on budget, delegate numbers met, leads converted into meetings
Measure: Trainer utilisation
What we are looking at: Days delivered across the bench, and delivery quality after each booking
First 90 days: You know the offer, the rate card, and the templates. You have met the team, the trainer bench, and the current cohort. You have a target list with a named decision-maker for each account, and you are running meetings without the founder in the room.
First 12 months: Nigeria stands on its own commercially, with a repeatable route from first contact to signed contract, a working trainer bench, and a conversation open about who works for you.
- At least five years winning business in Nigeria, ideally in education, edtech, training, or professional services.
- A record of carrying and hitting a revenue target that you can talk through in detail.
- An existing network among private school proprietors, heads, or directors, or clear evidence you can build one quickly.
- Experience coordinating events, programmes, or training delivery. This role includes real operational work.
- Strong written English. You will be writing proposals that decide whether we win.
- Confident with Google Workspace, a CRM or project tool such as ClickUp, and WhatsApp Business.
- Based in Lagos and willing to travel across Nigeria.
- Organised without being chased. Your manager is in London most of the time.
- Google Certified Educator Level 1 or Level 2, or Google Certified Trainer. We will put you through this if you do not have it.
- Experience working in or selling to Nigerian private schools.
- Existing relationships with NAPPS, AISEN, APEN, or GEG.
- Genuine interest in AI in education, and the ability to speak about Gemini credibly to a head teacher.
- Competitive base salary plus a commission structure linked to revenue collected, not revenue promised.
- Full product training and Google certification, paid for.
- Direct access to the founder and a real say in how the Nigerian offer is shaped.
- The first growth role in a market we intend to be in for a long time, with Ghana on the horizon.
- Work that matters. Every school we train is a set of teachers who get some of their evenings back.
Apply through our online application form: https://forms.gle/xmT1TJCLAw77GHVe7
The form asks for your CV and two written answers:
- How would you approach a private school or university in Lagos that has never heard of Happy2Host, and get a meeting with the decision-maker?
- Why bringing AI and Google Workspace to Nigerian schools aligns with your next career step. A short note, around 100–150 words.
There are also a few short questions on your track record, network, tools and availability. You will need a Google account to upload your CV.
Applications close September 25th, 2026. Shortlisted candidates will have an initial online interview, followed by in-person final-stage interviews in Lagos between October 15th and November 7th, 2026.
