Regional Coordinator - Ekiti
Jaza
Remote
The Regional Coordinator is a line manager and the business owner of a region. You own the region's profit and loss, the Hub Managers who run its clusters, the Jaza Stars who run its shops, and the standard of everything that happens there.
This is the first role in the chain where the whole operation is visible in one pair of hands: growth, cost, packs, cash, people, safety and community. If something is wrong in your region, you are expected to know before anyone tells you.
You report to the Senior Regional Coordinator, who holds your cluster. You translate the cluster plan into a regional plan, deliver it through your Hub Managers, and escalate early and with evidence when you cannot.
Success In This Role Looks Like
The region hits revenue, customer and cost targets consistently, not in bursts.
Every hub sits at or below the 250 active-customer standard, with upgrades triggered before service degrades.
Missing packs and remittance leakage are controlled, and cash handled at the hub keeps falling.
Hub Managers run their clusters without you doing it for them, and at least one is ready for more.
Jaza Stars in your region stay, earn more, and progress.
Service interruptions are resolved fast, and communities regard Jaza as trustworthy and present.
Role And Responsibilities
The Regional Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Regional and P&L
- 30%
Deliver revenue per site, active customers per site and ARPU against agreed targets, and grow active customers toward the Nigeria standard of 250 per site.
Track performance weekly at site level. Identify growth problems early and act on them rather than reporting them.
Manage regional operating cost: logistics and movement, maintenance, staffing, security payments and office running costs. Challenge spending that does not improve growth, reliability or safety.
Own regional inventory : pack allocation, overstock and distribution across hubs, and accuracy at the regional store.
Provide the monthly site pipeline view and go-live readiness for the region into the cluster forecast.
- Hub capacity and service continuity
- 15%
Review and clear waitlist status using the Hub Capacity Tool. No hub in your region should be turning customers away.
Resolve service interruptions at hub level within 24 hours, and customer complaints promptly.
Coordinate with technical teams to resolve hub faults and protect uptime. Assign urgent technical issues immediately, and support field engineers with transport and resources.
Ensure hubs in Hypercare have the packs, capacity and support to graduate on schedule.
- People leadership: Hub Managers and the Star network
- 25%
Own recruitment, onboarding and training of Jaza Stars in the region. Identify hiring needs ahead of go-lives, not after them.
Own the welfare, earnings and retention of the Star network in your region. Know why anyone leaves.
Build the regional bench: identify Stars ready to progress toward Hub Manager and cluster roles, and develop them deliberately.
Run weekly regional team meetings that set priorities, close gaps and agree next actions, and quarterly coaching sessions with every direct report.
Lead by example on the Jaza behaviours and compliance with SOPs.
The three values you model, teach and enforce
Confidence. Build Hub Managers and Jaza Stars who own their numbers and their decisions, make sound calls in the field without waiting for permission, raise problems early rather than concealing them, and speak with authority to customers and communities. Protect and advance Jaza's model of employing women from each community and developing them into leaders and entrepreneurs.
Connectivity. Keep information moving in both directions, so field reality reaches leadership quickly and national priorities reach every hub intact. Break silos between regions, Expansion, TechOps, Supply Chain and Customer Experience. Build genuine relationships with communities and local leaders so Jaza is trusted and embedded rather than merely present.
Service to Others. Hold customer dignity and service quality as non-negotiable, particularly where Jaza is the only energy provider. No customer is turned away because a capacity problem was seen and not acted on. Lead as a servant leader whose job is to remove obstacles, measured by how well the team performs rather than by personal output.
- Operating integrity: cash, packs, assets and safety
- 20%
Control missing packs to within the standard for both hub-held and customer-held packs, and drive recovery of those outstanding.
Enforce scanning and inventory discipline, including scanning stock within 24 hours of arrival.
Detect, investigate and close integrity breaches promptly and fairly. Where fraud occurs, identify the supervision gap that allowed it and close that too.
Own field safety and security in the region: site risk assessment, the operating-hours cut-off, physical security standards, incident response and the safety of every Star and team member.
Follow up and resolve criminal activity affecting the region, and escalate security risks without delay.
- Community, government and cross-functional
- 10%
Maintain a current view of competitor activity in the region and feed it up to the Senior Regional Coordinator.
Manage the regional office and its operating requests, and coordinate dispatch from the regional store.
Work with Expansion on site identification, acquisition support, commissioning readiness and go-live delivery in the region.
Work with TechOps, Supply Chain, Finance and People & Culture to resolve constraints affecting the region.
