Tech Tutor / Facilitator (Multiple Digital Skills Tracks)

ActivateX Academy is recruiting Tech Tutors / Facilitators to support the next cohort of the ActivateX Tech Program.

This is a program-based contract role for professionals and skilled practitioners who are passionate about teaching, mentorship, and helping young people develop practical digital skills.

Facilitators will be responsible for delivering structured and engaging learning experiences within their assigned track, guiding learners through practical exercises and projects, providing feedback and mentorship, and supporting participants as they build real-world skills and portfolio projects.

• Frontend Web Development
• Backend Web Development
• UI/UX Design
• Graphic Design
• Video Editing & Animation
• Social Media Management
• AI Productivity & Prompt Engineering
• Data Analytics

Facilitators will work closely with the ActivateX Academy team and other tutors to maintain a consistent, practical, and high-quality learning experience throughout the program.

• Deliver engaging live classes and practical sessions within your assigned digital skills track.
• Break down technical or creative concepts into clear, beginner-friendly explanations.
• Prepare or organize lesson materials, demonstrations, exercises, and learning resources.
• Guide learners through assignments, practical projects, and portfolio-building activities.
• Provide constructive feedback on learner submissions and projects.
• Track learner participation, progress, assessments, and overall performance where required.
• Support and mentor learners throughout the duration of the program.
• Encourage participation, collaboration, consistency, and independent learning.
• Collaborate with other facilitators and the ActivateX Academy program team.
• Contribute ideas and feedback that can improve the curriculum and overall learner experience.

• Strong practical knowledge and demonstrated experience in at least one of the listed digital skills tracks.
• Ability to teach concepts clearly to beginners and learners with different levels of experience.
• Experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, training, workshop facilitation, or community learning is an advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide clear, constructive, and encouraging feedback to learners.
• Experience using relevant tools, platforms, or technologies within your selected track.
• Comfortable using digital collaboration and learning tools such as Google Workspace, video conferencing platforms, learning management systems, and online communication platforms.
• Ability to manage class responsibilities, learner support, assessments, and project deadlines effectively.
• Strong interest in youth development, education, mentorship, and skills empowerment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other facilitators and members of the program team.
• Reliable internet access and the necessary tools or equipment required to teach your selected track.
• Relevant certifications, professional training, diploma, or degree are an advantage, but demonstrated skill, experience, and ability to teach effectively are more important.
