Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Field Support Officer (FSO) to provide on-site operational and technical support to merchants and agents across Victoria Island and Obalende, Lagos.
The successful candidate will be responsible for deploying, installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and replacing POS terminals while maintaining strong relationships with merchants and ensuring smooth payment operations within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
Deploy, install, configure, and activate POS terminals at merchant locations.
Provide prompt on-site technical support and resolve POS-related issues.
Conduct routine visits to merchants to ensure optimal terminal performance.
Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Replace faulty terminals and manage terminal inventory within the assigned territory.
Train merchants and agents on proper POS usage and transaction processes.
Monitor transaction performance and escalate unresolved issues appropriately.
Support merchant onboarding and documentation where required.
Ensure compliance with company operational standards and policies.
Prepare and submit accurate daily and weekly field activity reports.
Maintain professional relationships with merchants and agents.
Support business growth and improve merchant satisfaction within the assigned territory.
Requirements
Minimum of OND, HND, or B.Sc. in any relevant field.
1–2 years of experience in field operations, technical support, POS support, fintech, telecommunications, or a related role is preferred.
Basic understanding of POS systems and electronic payment solutions.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage an assigned territory effectively.
Willingness to travel within Victoria Island, Obalende, and surrounding areas.
Good organizational and reporting skills.
Customer-focused attitude and ability to work under pressure.
