Role Responsibilities
Insightful and Rigorous Analysis
- Write in-depth, high-quality, and focused research on credit trends, including thought-leading reports on corporates, sub-national, and non-bank financial institutions.
- Become a recognised authority on your portfolio of rated corporate entities and developments in the corporate sectors.
- Perform in-depth fundamentals credit analysis on a portfolio of Nigerian corporates, sub nationals, and non-bank financial institutions. Present your analysis at the committees.
- Monitor developments and ensure ratings are accurate and forward-looking.
- Build and maintain high-quality relationships with fixed-income investors, financial media, and senior management of corporate companies.
- Operate independently but supported by the rest of the analytical team in enhancing the company's Corporate franchise through developing and deepening outreach with key external stakeholders.
- Proven credit/risk assessment experience, including strong corporate analysis experience, likely to be gained from an investment bank, a corporate company, a financial institution, a regulator, or a public accounting firm.
- Understanding of Nigeria’s corporate sectors, their regulatory environment, and the key issues affecting the various economic sectors/the main players and key industry drivers.
- Excellent communication skills. Able to communicate clearly and succinctly, both verbally and in writing, with some public speaking experience.
- Strong quantitative aptitude and proven analytical skills.
- Write timely and effective research on topical issues.
- Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
- The successful candidate should have a strong academic background at least equivalent to a BSc in a relevant area and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- ACA/ACCA/CFA/CIMA professional qualification would be highly beneficial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
