Role Description


Our client is a rapidly growing agribusiness in Igbariam, Anambra State seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead the organisation’s people function and support its continued growth and expansion.

The Human Resources Manager will develop and implement HR policies, support learning and development initiatives, and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations. Day-to-day tasks include advising leadership on people-related matters, managing HR documentation and systems, coordinating employee engagement activities, and supporting initiatives that strengthen the employer brand and workplace culture. The role also involves partnering with managers to address workforce planning, coaching, and conflict resolution in a fair and inclusive manner.


Qualifications

Minimum of 10 years

  • solid experience in core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations in FMCG, Manufacturing, Agribusiness, and related operational environment.
  • Strong skills in policy development, HR process improvement, and compliance with labor and employment regulations.
  • Proficiency in HR administration, including maintaining accurate HR records, managing HRIS tools, and handling confidential information responsibly.
  • Demonstrated ability to support an Agribusiness organizational culture, employee engagement, and employer branding initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and sound judgment in decision-making.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field; professional HR certification is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a consulting, professional services, and operational people-focused environment is beneficial.
