A well-established multi-location pharmaceutical, skincare and retail company is seeking an experienced and highly organised Human Resources Manager to oversee its HR operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building a structured, compliant and performance-driven workplace across multiple locations. This role requires someone who can combine strategic HR oversight with hands-on management of recruitment, employee documentation, attendance, performance, discipline and staff relations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage HR operations across all company locations.
• Develop, implement and enforce HR policies, procedures and employee standards.
• Coordinate recruitment, interviewing, onboarding and confirmation of employees.
• Maintain accurate employee records, contracts and documentation.
• Monitor attendance, punctuality, leave, absenteeism and staff scheduling.
• Manage performance reviews, improvement plans and disciplinary processes.
• Handle employee complaints, workplace conflicts and staff-relations matters professionally.
• Work with departmental and branch managers to identify staffing and training needs.
• Coordinate staff orientation, training and development programmes.
• Support payroll preparation by verifying attendance, leave, deductions and employee changes.
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian labour laws and applicable workplace regulations.
• Prepare regular HR reports for management.
• Conduct periodic visits and HR audits across company locations.
• Promote accountability, professionalism and consistent workplace standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or a related discipline.
• Minimum of five years’ relevant HR experience.
• Experience managing employees across multiple branches or locations.
• Previous HR experience within pharmaceutical retail, healthcare, skincare, cosmetics, FMCG, supermarkets or another structured retail environment is strongly preferred.
• Good knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and disciplinary procedures.
• Practical experience in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll inputs and employee documentation.
• Strong conflict-resolution, communication and people-management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters with sound judgement.
• Strong organisational, reporting and administrative skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and HR or payroll management systems.
• CIPM membership or another professional HR certification is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel periodically to other company locations.

The ideal candidate must be firm, fair, discreet and capable of working independently. We are looking for someone who will take ownership of employee standards, workforce planning and HR compliance—not merely process HR paperwork.
