Head of Programs - CISA

At Chess in Slums Africa, we are seeking a Head of Programs to lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and continuous improvement of our programmes for children and young people across underserved communities and public schools. Kindly note that this is a leadership role for someone who can bring structure to a growing programme portfolio.

As a member of the Management Team, you will lead the Programs Unit, including its team of volunteers, and work closely with other Department Heads to coordinate the different functions required for effective programme delivery. This role requires strong programme leadership, data and impact management, communication and cross-functional coordination, alongside contributing to organisational planning, decision-making and institutional growth.

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm

Location: Yaba, Lagos | On-site

• Lead programmes from planning to close-out.
• Manage programme teams, volunteers, facilitators and stakeholders.
• Oversee programme data, monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
• Manage timelines, budgets, resources and programme risks.
• Support proposals, partnerships and organisational planning.

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years' experience in programme/project management.
• Experience managing programmes from planning through implementation and evaluation.
• Strong leadership, communication, data analysis and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Experience in nonprofit, education, youth development or social impact is an advantage.
