Growth and Partnerships Manager, Nigeria
Dunn and Braxton
Remote
Location: Lagos-based, working remotely, with travel across Nigeria
Our client is a premier Google for Education Partner originally founded in London by a former educator, ensuring a core focus on pedagogical impact, learning outcomes, and effective technology integration rather than technical setup alone. Having built a strong track record training schools, universities, and commercial enterprises across the UK and Europe on Google Workspace, Gemini, and practical AI, the organization is actively expanding its footprint across West Africa through a registered regional entity based in Nigeria.
The Company is seeking to hire a Growth and Partnerships Manager to spearhead its commercial expansion, revenue generation, and on-the-ground operational execution across Nigeria. Serving as the primary regional point of contact and the most senior localized representative, this individual will work directly alongside the founder with significant autonomy, taking end-to-end ownership of the regional business pipeline.
In this role, the successful candidate will drive new business acquisition across private schools, educational networks, academic associations, higher education institutions, and corporate enterprises, converting initial training engagements into long-term, retained commercial partnerships. Beyond business development, the position oversees regional program execution by coordinating workshops and events on the ground, while actively managing and deploying a bench of qualified trainers to guarantee high-quality instructional delivery and seamless operational performance across all regional engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the Nigerian revenue target and the plan to reach it.
- Identify, open, and close opportunities with private schools, school groups, universities, and businesses.
- Lead the full sales cycle: first conversation, needs discussion, proposal, negotiation, signed contract.
- Write proposals and quotes using our templates and rate card, and get them out within agreed timeframes.
- Convert one-off training days into retained partnerships and multi-school agreements.
- Build and hold direct relationships with proprietors, heads, directors, and university leadership.
- Represent the company with the associations and networks, including NAPPS, AISEN, APEN, and the GEG chapters.
- Support the Google relationship in the country, working alongside the founder, and provide feedback on what is actually happening on the ground.
- Coordinate delivery of our workshops, Gemini Academies, and conference presence in Nigeria.
- Own venue, logistics, delegate lists, materials, and the on-the-day running of the room, working with the Director of Operations on budget and contracts.
- Make sure every event has a follow-up plan and that leads from the room reach the pipeline within a week.
- Manage the Nigerian trainer roster: scheduling, briefing, materials, and confirmation of bookings.
- Match the right trainer to the right client and keep utilization sensible across the bench.
- Run quality checks after delivery. Feedback collected, issues raised early, standards held.
- Keep the certified trainer pipeline warm as candidates progress towards Google Certified Trainer status.
- Keep every prospect, stage, and next action current in our CRM.
- Provide a weekly pipeline and revenue update that can be read in five minutes.
- Forecast honestly. We would rather hear a problem in week two than in month three.
- Nothing sits silent for more than seven days.
- Degree in any relevant field.
- At least five (5) years of experience winning business in Nigeria, ideally in education, edtech, training, or professional services.
- A proven record of carrying and hitting a revenue target that you can talk through in detail.
- An existing network among private school proprietors, heads, or directors, or clear evidence that you can build one quickly.
- Experience coordinating events, programs, or training delivery, as this role includes real operational work.
- Strong written English skills, as you will be writing proposals that decide whether we win business.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace, a CRM or project management tool such as ClickUp, and WhatsApp Business.
- Based in Lagos and willing to travel across Nigeria.
- Organized and self-driven without needing to be chased, given that your manager is in London most of the time.
- Google Certified Educator Level 1 or Level 2, or Google Certified Trainer status (we will support you through certification if you do not currently hold it).
- Experience working in or selling to Nigerian private schools is a plus.
- Existing relationships with NAPPS, AISEN, APEN, or GEG chapters are an added benefit.
- A genuine interest in AI in education, along with the ability to speak about Gemini credibly to a head teacher.
- ₦1,000,000 gross monthly salary plus a competitive commission structure linked directly to revenue collected rather than revenue promised.
- Full product training and paid Google certifications.
- Direct access to the founder and a meaningful voice in shaping the organization's regional offering.
- Ground-floor growth opportunity in a high-priority market with planned regional expansion into Ghana.
- High-impact work: Every institution trained directly helps teachers regain valuable time and reduce administrative workload.
