Role Overview
We are hiring an experienced Corporate Affairs & Sustainability Manager to lead the organization's corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, sustainability agenda, reputation management, and policy advocacy. The role will drive initiatives that strengthen the company's corporate reputation while advancing its ESG and sustainability objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an integrated corporate communications strategy across internal and external channels.
- Lead the design and execution of sustainability and ESG initiatives aligned with business objectives and industry standards.
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, regulatory bodies, NGOs, investors, communities, and other key stakeholders.
- Lead reputation management and crisis communication, ensuring timely and effective responses to emerging issues.
- Monitor relevant government policies, regulations, and industry developments and support corporate advocacy initiatives.
- Oversee the preparation of sustainability, ESG, and corporate affairs reports in line with applicable standards and reporting requirements.
- Develop stakeholder engagement plans that support the company's business and sustainability priorities.
- Lead and mentor the Corporate Affairs & Sustainability team, driving performance and professional development.
- Provide senior management with insights on emerging corporate affairs, sustainability, regulatory, and reputational issues.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Communications, Sustainability, Social Sciences, Management Sciences, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree in a relevant discipline is an added advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience, with at least 5 years in a senior management position.
- Proven experience managing corporate communications, stakeholder relations, and reputation management.
- Strong experience in sustainability/ESG programmes, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience working with government/regulatory bodies and external stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the FMCG business environment and regulatory landscape.
- Excellent leadership, communication, strategic thinking, and crisis-management skills.
