Role Description The Tutor role at GiftedBrain Academy is a full-time hybrid position based in Lagos, with the flexibility to perform some responsibilities from home. Day-to-day tasks include planning and delivering engaging lessons, providing individualized academic support, and monitoring student progress across assigned subjects. The Tutor will create learning materials, assess performance, give constructive feedback, and adjust teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs. Additional responsibilities include maintaining clear communication with parents or guardians, collaborating with other educators, and supporting academic programs and events that enhance student achievement.
Qualifications

Strong subject-matter knowledge in one or more core academic areas (e.g., Mathematics, English, Science, Social Studies).
Proficiency in lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment methods.
Effective communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills, with the ability to build trust and motivate learners.
Comfort with basic digital tools and online learning platforms to support hybrid teaching.
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a teaching certification or relevant tutoring experience is highly beneficial.
Ability to work full time in Lagos in a hybrid arrangement, demonstrating reliability, professionalism, and a student-centered mindset.
Experience working with diverse learners and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory educational practices.
