Retail Sales Manager

WE’RE HIRING: RETAIL SALES MANAGER – SKINCARE & BEAUTY

A growing skincare and beauty retail business is seeking a confident, articulate and approachable Retail Sales Manager to lead its walk-in store team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys interacting with customers, understands skincare and can combine strong personal sales performance with effective staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome walk-in customers, understand their needs and recommend suitable products within your training.
• Explain products clearly, answer questions and help customers make informed purchases.
• Actively close sales and lead the team towards achieving store sales targets.
• Supervise store staff, assign daily tasks and ensure customers receive prompt, professional service.
• Coach team members on product knowledge, selling skills and customer interaction.
• Ensure shelves are consistently stocked, neatly arranged and correctly priced.
• Liaise with the inventory team on replenishment, low-stock items, fast-selling products and stock discrepancies.
• Oversee accurate sales recording and compliance with checkout procedures.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain store cleanliness, presentation and daily operational standards.
• Provide regular reports on sales performance, customer feedback and stock needs.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of customer-facing retail sales experience, including experience supervising a team.
• Good working knowledge of skincare products and routines; skincare or beauty retail experience is strongly preferred.
• Excellent spoken English, strong listening skills and the ability to explain products confidently.
• A warm, approachable personality and genuine enjoyment of customer interaction.
• Evidence of meeting sales targets and motivating others to perform.
• A quick learner who can build strong knowledge of different brands and products.
• Well-groomed, professionally presented, organised and dependable.
• Comfortable using a POS system and basic digital reporting tools.
• Completed studies and available for full-time, on-site work.
• Able to commute reliably to Ogudu, Lagos.
