As a CP Field Service Team Leader, you will lead and develop the Field Service & Repair team supporting the Compression business across Nigeria and West Africa.

You will oversee the complete operational lifecycle of field service activities, from resource planning and mobilization through execution and post-job analysis. You will provide technical and operational guidance to field service professionals while working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality service delivery.

How You’ll Make An Impact

Team Leadership & Development – 40%

  • Lead and supervise a team of field service employees, establishing clear goals and performance objectives.
  • Ensure team members understand and comply with company policies, safety requirements, and operational procedures.
  • Manage resource planning, scheduling, and allocation to meet field service requirements across Nigeria and West Africa.
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify individual and team development needs.
  • Coach and mentor team members and support their professional development.
  • Promote a strong EHS&Q culture throughout field service activities.


Field Service Operations Management – 40%

  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of field service jobs, from pre-planning and mobilization through execution and post-job analysis.
  • Provide technical and operational guidance to field service teams.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex technical and operational field issues.
  • Monitor the performance of company assets at customer locations.
  • Ensure field service activities are executed efficiently and in accordance with applicable quality standards.
  • Monitor operational performance against key indicators for safety, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Support operational planning and ensure effective deployment of field service resources.
  • Drive technical problem-solving and support the resolution of field service challenges.
  • Support financial control across field service operations.


Customer & Stakeholder Engagement – 20%

  • Act as a key operational contact for external customers.
  • Provide technical expertise and support high levels of customer satisfaction throughout service delivery.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, and back-office functions to ensure seamless field service operations.
  • Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present reports covering team performance, operational status, and key challenges to regional management.


Experience

What You Bring

  • Significant experience in Field Service Engineering within the Oil & Gas industry, specifically involving compression equipment.
  • Proven experience in a supervisory or team leadership capacity, managing technical professionals.
  • Strong experience in field service operations and operational planning within a technical service environment.
