Remote
We are a local agro-commodities distribution startup with plans to backward integrate into raw commodities, processing, and farming. After 10 months of trading and over ₦65.2M+ in sales revenue across 4,071 completed orders, we have found PMF for two fast-moving commodities.
Our plantain chip route pilot alone proved that retail pull is relentless: 12,987 commercial packs delivered across 3,124 completed orders, with retail and wholesale shops begging for restocks every 3 to 5 days.
We are now locking down our field sales coverage along the CMS to Epe corridor and need an experienced Route-to-Market FMCG Sales Lead to scale and tighten our presence.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and optimisation of route-to-market strategies across assigned territories and distribution channels.
- Monitor market coverage, product availability, distribution efficiency, and channel performance to identify gaps and improvement opportunities along the corridor.
- Analyse distributor, wholesaler, retailer, and customer performance to support effective channel management and commercial decision-making.
- Monitor the effectiveness of existing routes, territories, and distribution models, and recommend adjustments based on market dynamics and corridor requirements.
Major Requirements
- B.Sc. / HND in Marketing, Sales, or other relevant discipline.
- Over 3 years of relevant field sales experience, preferably in the FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of Route-to-Market principles, distribution models, van sales, and channel management.
- Solid understanding of FMCG sales and distribution operations across Lagos commercial corridors.
Compensation
The role includes a guaranteed base salary of ₦150,000 monthly, plus performance bonuses and wholesale profit sharing, bringing total monthly earnings to ₦250,000+.
Here is your 4-month operational roadmap:

- Month 2 & 3: Build your team. Recruit, train, and manage your first cohort of Field Sales Reps to scale route coverage.
- Month 4: Operational leadership. Recruit and onboard your first sub-Field Manager to take over territory management as you expand.
