Role Overview

A reputable Christian secondary school located in the Ago-Okota axis of Lagos State invites applications from dynamic, experienced educational leaders for the position of Secondary School Principal.

The Principal will drive academic excellence, operational efficiency, and institutional growth while upholding the school’s core values, mission, and pastoral standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Provide visionary academic and administrative leadership aligned with the school’s mission, standard operating procedures, and long-term goals.
• Instructional Supervision: Oversee curriculum delivery, teacher evaluations, and classroom learning processes to sustain high standards across both national and international examination pathways.
• Ethos & Student Discipline: Foster a disciplined, nurturing learning environment that promotes sound moral character, high ethical standards, and the spiritual values foundational to the school community.
• Operations & Staff Management: Direct day-to-day school operations, staff performance appraisals, professional development programs, and resource allocation.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain open, professional communication with parents, alumni, regulatory bodies, and the wider school community.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE). A Master’s degree in Education, Educational Administration, or a related field is an added advantage.
• Certification: Cambridge certification/training or demonstrable mastery of British curriculum frameworks is strongly required.
• Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of proven leadership experience in a senior administrative role (e.g., Principal, Vice Principal, or Head of School), preferably within established private or mission secondary schools preparing students for both IGCSE and WAEC.
• Skills: Exceptional administrative competence, high emotional intelligence, articulate verbal and written communication, and a proven track record of inspiring staff and students.
• Ethos Alignment: Strong personal commitment to moral integrity, exemplary leadership, and advancing Christian educational values.
• Location: Candidates residing within or with accessible commute to the Ago – Okota – Isolo – Ajao axis of Lagos State are strongly preferred.
